On 6 Music, Mary Anne Hobbs’ show this Saturday is broadcasting live from the Turner Prize 2017 exhibition in Hull and will be themed ‘Art Is Everywhere’. Listeners to both Saturday and Sunday’s programmes will be invited to create their own piece of art inspired by sounds on the programme, upload their work to the bbc.co.uk/6music gallery and share it on social media using the hashtag #6musicart.
To provide inspiration, Philip Selway will be performing an intimate live session and will appear alongside other guests including David Bowie’s official photographer Denis O’ Regan, inventor Dominic Wilcox, interactive designers Jason Bruges and Nick Tandavanitj of Blast Theory, Helen Yeomans and the Glorious Choir from Hull. In Sunday’s show, ‘Art Is Everywhere’ continues with unique contributions from 2014’s Turner prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller, Anorak magazine’s founder Cathy Olmedillas, visual artist Rob Ryan, and poet James Massiah.
