Artist Katie Paterson has raised over £6,000 for those suffering domestic abuse during the Coronavirus lockdown. Paterson’s ideas book, A Place That Exists Only in Moonlight. Digital copies have been made available on her Just Giving page.
Shockingly, in the UK, two women a week on average are killed by their male close family members. During lockdown this has increased to five a week.
The artist says,
“Dear Friends, I am setting up a donation scheme for Scottish Woman’s Aid through which you can purchase digital copies of my book “A Place That Exists Only in Moonlight”. I’m making 1000 editions available; please donate a minimum of £5, or more if it is possible for you. After you make your donation, you will receive a signed and numbered digital book via email.”
