At the Local/Global Dynamics in Feminism and Contemporary Art conference on 3 July 2017, Katy Deepwell, founder, owner and editor of n.paradoxa, the international feminist art journal, announced the end of the printed journal. Attendees were shocked by the news which was confirmed in the final edition of the journal, volume 40, Ends and Beginnings.
The print journal has ran since 1998 and was conceived as an international platform to bring together conversations on feminist contributions to contemporary art. Deepwell has stated that this does not signal an end to the debate, or that she considers that the debate is over. The website kppress.com will continue as a resource and issues of n.paradoxa will continue to be available, as well as the free MOOC course on feminist art which is currently running. The baton is passed to feminists to keep the conversation going through new and existing formats. We salute you Katy Deepwell, and n.paradoxa.
